Start here β€” how these boards work, and what not to post

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time. We read every post. Two minutes of reading here will save you time and keep everyone's data safe. πŸ“ WHICH BOARD TO POST ON Feature Ideas β€” something we do not do yet, or do not do well enough. Requests and suggestions go here. Feedback β€” something is broken, behaving oddly, or confusing. Bug reports go there. If you are unsure, post anyway and we will move it. Posting in the wrong place is not a problem. Not posting is. ⚠️ NEVER POST CUSTOMER DATA Both boards are public. Anything you write can be read by anyone, including other businesses. You run marketing on Caramel, so your account holds real people's names, email addresses, phone numbers and purchase history. None of it belongs here. That includes screenshots, and a screenshot is the most common way this goes wrong: a customer list, an audience preview, a form's submissions, an order. Before you attach an image, look at it again and blur or crop anything that identifies a person. Also keep out passwords, API keys, access tokens, invoice or card details, and anything covered by an agreement you have with your own customers. If you have already posted something like this, do not delete it and hope. Email support@caramelme.com and we will remove it properly. πŸ”’ FOUND A SECURITY PROBLEM? DO NOT POST IT HERE If you have found a way to see another business's data, bypass a permission, or otherwise break something you should not be able to break, email support@caramelme.com instead and put "Security" in the subject. Posting it publicly puts every other business at risk while it is being fixed. We would much rather hear about it privately, and we will keep you updated. ✍️ WHAT MAKES A GOOD POST Search first. If someone has already raised it, vote and add a comment. Ten votes on one post tells us far more than ten near-identical posts. One thing per post. A post asking for five unrelated features cannot be prioritised, answered, or closed. For an idea, tell us the problem before the solution. What are you trying to get done, and what do you do today instead? That often leads us somewhere better than the feature as first described, and it is the part only you can tell us. For a problem, tell us three things: what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. Add roughly when it happened and which part of the product you were in. "Campaigns is broken" is difficult to act on. "The campaign editor would not save after I added a second email, around 2pm yesterday" is something we can chase. πŸ“‹ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT We read everything. We do not reply to everything, and a post without a reply has not been ignored. Votes inform priority, they do not set it. Plenty of what we build is unglamorous β€” reliability, privacy, billing correctness, work that matters to a single industry β€” and none of that wins a vote. We weigh what you tell us against that. We do not publish a detailed roadmap, and we will not give delivery dates. We would rather say nothing than give you a date we then miss, because you may be making plans around it. When something ships you will see it under What's new. Posting here does not create any commitment on our part, and nothing on these boards changes the agreement you already have with us. 🀝 HOUSE RULES Be straight with us. Blunt criticism is welcome and useful. Personal attacks, harassment, and posts targeting our staff or another business are not. Please also skip advertising, recruiting, competitor bashing, and duplicate posts made to attract attention. We may edit a post to remove personal data, merge duplicates, move a post to the right board, or close something we are not going to do. If we close your post we will try to say why. We remove posts that break the rules above, and posting customer data or exploit details can cost you access. 🧭 WHERE ELSE TO GO These boards are not a support queue. If something is broken for you right now, or the answer involves your account, we can help faster elsewhere. Account help, billing, or anything urgent β€” email support@caramelme.com A security problem β€” email support@caramelme.com, subject "Security" A privacy or data protection question, or a data rights request β€” email privacy@joincaramel.com What has shipped recently β€” open What's new, in the app under your profile menu Terms of Service and Privacy Policy β€” joincaramel.com Using these boards also means following our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where anything here disagrees with those documents, those documents win. Thanks for helping us make this better. The posts that change our minds most are the ones describing a real day at a real business, so please keep sending those.
